Founder's Note

My journey in the electrical installation industry began in 2005, starting as a labourer and steadily progressing through the ranks. I’ve worn many hats – electrician, supervisor, tester, manager – gaining a deep understanding of every aspect of electrical work, from hands-on installation to project management.

While comfort and convenience are clear benefits of home automation, it was the potential for energy savings that truly captivated me. The Building Engineering Services Association (BESA) reports that Building Automation and Control Systems can lead to energy savings of up to 30%. In our era of necessary energy efficiency, the ability to reduce consumption so significantly through smart technology is game-changing. It’s a crucial step towards sustainable living and working environments, aligning with global efforts to reduce carbon footprints.

Lagging Behind

Despite a growing interest, public uptake of smart home technologies in the UK remains low. Barriers to accepting and opting for these technologies have been linked to various socio-technical issues, such as a lack of public awareness and a shortage of skilled professionals compared to other European countries. It’s clear that more needs to be done to bridge this gap and bring the benefits of smart home technology to more people.

Solution for renovations

How to install reliable home automation without re-wiring the house?

Option A: If you are building a new property or renovating an existing one, but not considering the installation of home automation now – we can futureproof your installation by designing and installing it in such a way that it can be easily upgraded for KNX-based home automation at a later date. After all, what is the most expensive cable? It’s the one you’ve forgotten to put.

Retrofit solution

How to install reliable home automation without re-wiring the house?

Option B: A hard-wired system is more reliable, but what if you are not planning to completely renovate your property, just redecorate? In this case, we can retrofit Gira 3000 or Jung Home (Bluetooth-based automation system) or wireless KNX RF system, depending on the distance between accessories and your preferences. This approach can also work in listed buildings, churches, and other heritage properties.

Building the Future

We see smart building technology as a cornerstone of future smart cities

We believe that smart building technology is one of the four essential pillars of future smart cities. Our aim is to install or retrofit smart technologies in buildings that integrate with mobile applications to optimize services. By doing so, we hope to contribute to the development of smarter, more efficient urban environments. Find more about smart cities here.
